COLUMBUS – Police say human remains found near a South Side quarry last week were identified as those of a man who has been missing for nearly four months.

The Franklin County Coroner’s Office positively identified the remains as those of Matthew Parsley, 37, who has been missing since mid-October, Columbus homicide detectives.
Police say the cause of death and manner of death are still under investigation and has not yet been determined.
The remains were found on the morning of Jan. 30 near the quarry at the rear of 75 Lawn Avenue.
