Police fear for teen shooting survivor’s safety

(COLUMBUS) – Reportedly, Columbus police are concerned for the safety of the teenage survivor of a shooting in the Linden area that left four people dead.

When officers arrived at the scene of the shooting on E. Hudson Street, near Cleveland Avenue, just before 7:30 Saturday morning, they found the 16-year-old girl outside the home, bleeding, and she told them that four people had been shot inside, said Sgt. David Sicilian of the Homicide Unit.

The bodies of two men and two women were found in the home’s basement, Sicilian said.

He told The Columbus Dispatch that police feared the injured teen’s safety may be in danger with a suspect on the loose.

He said the girl was treated for her injuries at Grant Medical Center and released.

Police were obtaining a warrant to search the house and canvassing the neighborhood for witnesses.

The names of the victims had not been released late Saturday,  pending notification of next of kin Sicilian said.
