COLUMBUS, Ohio – An elderly woman whose body was found in her burned-out East Side apartment Monday morning appears to have been the victim of a homicide, Columbus police said.
Police and firefighters responding to a fire at 1177 Fountain Lane just before 7:30 a.m. Monday found the remains of a woman who was later identified as Anna Marie Ferriman, police said.
Homicide Unit investigators responded and police say her death is being investigated as a homicide.
This is the 14th homicide of 2015.
