COLUMBUS – Police say a woman thought to have been the victim of a hit-and-run driver was actually murdered before her body was thrown into the street.
Officers responding to several calls to the Columbus police radio room about a body lying in the street on E. Livingston Avenue near I-70 at 2:43 a.m. Tuesday found Bobbie Glenee Bonner, was dead at the scene, according to investigators.
The initial investigation by the Accident Investigation Unit indicated Bonner, 46, had been struck by at least one vehicle but the Franklin County Coroner’s Office says her injuries were the result of a homicide, detectives said.
This was the 52nd homicide in Columbus in 2016.
