Police ID body on railroad tracks

COLUMBUS – Police have released the name of a man whose body was found lying on railroad tracks on the West Side last week.

Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Sullivant Avenue at approximately 11:00 p.m. on Jan. 14 on a report of what appeared to be a body that had been dragged onto the railroad tracks in the rear of 1185 Sullivant Avenue, Sgt. Dave Shimberg of the Homicide Unit said.

The victim was later identified as Aaron Collymore, 31, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The motive for the incident is still unclear.

This was the 14th homicide of the year in Columbus.
