Police investigate suspicious death in Linden

COLUMBUS – Columbus police are investigating a suspicious death in North Linden.

Officers called to the 1500 block of Republic Avenue just after 11:50 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a shooting found a man inside a home, Sgt. James Marable of th4e Homicide Unit said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:021 a.m. Wednesday but Marable said the cause of the victim’s death is unclear so it was not added to the tally of homicides in Columbus this year.

The victim’s name is being withheld pending positive identification and notification of next of kin, he said.

Two men, age 18 and 19, suffered gunshot wounds in separate incidents on Miller Avenue and Tamarack Circle South Tuesday night.
