COLUMBUS – Columbus police say a man and a woman were in jail in connection with two January murders.
David Lynch, 40, was arrested on a murder charge stemming from the shooting death of Christopher Kirby, 38, during an exchange of gunfire in a driveway in the 1100 block of Smith Road on the night of January 7, Homicide Unit Sgt. David Shimberg said.
Lynch was arrested on Tuesday and taken to the Franklin County Jail.

Shaulette Drain was arrested in connection with the death of Christopher Santiago, 39, on January 15, Shimberg said.
Drain, 39, and Santiago were both in a vehicle that crashed into a utility pole in the area of 1485 Loretta Avenue early in the morning on Jan. 15. Both were suffering from gunshot wounds and Santiago was pronounced dead at the scene while Drain was treated at a local hospital, Shimberg said.
Drain was charged with Santiago’s murder and arrested on Tuesday.
