COLUMBUS – A Northeast Side man charged with the shooting death of his wife’s relative called 911 to report the crime, police said.

Robert Bowling was charged with murder in the death of Jeremy Huff during an argument at Bowling’s Pershing Drive home early Wednesday morning, the 32nd homicide of the year in Columbus, Sgt. Eric Pilya of the Columbus police Homicide Unit said.
Investigators determine that Huff, 33, is related to Bowling’s wife and was staying at the home. The two men got into an argument at approximately 6:24 a.m. and Bowling shot Huff, 33, who was pronounced dead at the scene, Pilya said.
Bowling, 34, remained at scene and called 911 and was taken to headquarters for questioning before he was charged, Pilya said.
