Police round up stray cattle on SE Side

COLUMBUS – Columbus mounted police were busy with a roundup Thursday afternoon on the Southeast Side.


The division‘s Mounted Unit was called in to corral two errant bovines in the area around Cassady and Lawndale Avenues, south of state Route 104 and west of Alum Creek.

Police officials say they knocked on doors in hopes of finding our who owned the black bull and tan heifer, who was wearing a tan collar, but were unsuccessful so the cattle were taken to the Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center.
