COLUMBUS – Columbus police say a 21-year-old man was killed in an apparent gunfight on the West Side Friday night.
UPDATE 10/18/21 121:21 a.m.: Police say an arrest warrant has been filed for filed Thomas Tee Henderson III, 22, of Canal Winchester, on a murder charge in connection with this incident.
Cameron Barrett was in the alley suffering from a gunshot wound in an alley in the 900 block of Sullivant Avenue by officers responding to a reported shooting just before 11:30 p.m., Sgt. David Shimberg of the Columbus Police Homicide Unit said.
Columbus paramedics took Barnett to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center where he died just before midnight.
This was the 163rd homicide of 2021 in Columbus.
Shimberg says it appears Barnett was shot during an exchange gunfire and investigators are attempting to locate persons of interest who were involved.
