Police say suspect is dangerous

COLUMBUS – Police say a man who’s accused of shooting his estranged wife to death in her Northeast Side home Thursday morning was still at large Thursday night and was considered armed and dangerous.

Lenzell Quamir Weston (right) walked into Monique Weston’s home on Northcliff Drive before 10:30 a.m., shot her several times, and escaped, Homicide Unit Sgt. Dave Sicilian said.

Officers found Monique Weston, 34, and she was transported to Riverside Hospital but died just before 11:00 a.m., Sicilian said.

Sicilian says a warrant has been filed for Lenzell Weston, 36, on a murder charge.

This is the 53rd homicide of the year in Columbus
