COLUMBUS – Police are looking for a vehicle that struck and killed a bicyclist on the East Side late Tuesday night.
Alex Siitam was riding northbound on S. Hamilton Road and crossing E. Livingston Avenue at 10:09 p.m. when police say he was hit by a white Chevrolet extended-cab Silverado that failed to stop for a red light while traveling eastbound on Livingston Avenue and then fled the area northbound on Hamilton Road.
Siitam, 60, was pronounced John Doe dead at the scene, police said.
The Accident Investigation Unit is looking for a 1993–1998 Chevrolet Silverado extended-cab pick-up truck which should have fresh front-end damage, Sgt. Brooke Wilson said.
