COLUMBUS – Columbus police have a pretty good description of the car that sped away from the scene of a fatal East Side shooting Wednesday afternoon but no suspect to go with it.

Officers investigating a report that a person had been shot in the 500 block of St. Clair Avenue, in the Mt. Vernon neighborhood, at approximately 3:31 p.m. found Patrick Charles Bickham who was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition, Sgt. Stanley Latta of the Homicide Unit said.
Bickham, 27, died less than hour later, Latta said.
According to a report on WBNS 10-TV, Bickham and another man had been involved in a fight before the shooting.
Latta says police are looking a white older model Chevrolet Impala that may have bullet holes in the driver’s side and the driver’s side window may be shot out. The car is vehicle is missing a front license plate and may have a temporary Ohio tag on the rear.
This is the 22nd homicide of 2018 in Columbus.
