COLUMBUS – Police are looking for two teenage girls they say held up an elderly couple and their grandson at gunpoint in their Canal Winchester home Saturday.

The girls, both described as about 18 years old, Umberto Liberati’s doorbell and asked to use the restroom at approximately 4:00 p.m. and came out brandishing handguns, said Det. George Bragalone of the Columbus Police Robbery Unit.
They pointed the guns at pointed at Umberto, 78, his wife and their 12-year-old grandson, who was visiting, and demanded money and jewelry. After receiving a small amount of cash they left, Bragalone said.
The girls were described as dark-skinned, about 5’7″ tall, skinny with curly black hair. One had a tattoo on her left shoulder, one was wearing a green jacket with writing on it and both were carrying guns, Bragalone said.
