CLEVELAND – Authorities on the hunt for a suspect who they say fatally shot an elderly Cleveland man in a gruesome video posted on Facebook say his last known location was at the shooting site.

Police and the FBI in Cleveland said Monday that Steve Stephens still could be in the city or in surrounding states and they urged people from New York to Indiana to be on alert for a man who they say shot and killed an elderly passerby and then posted a gruesome video of the killing on Facebook.
Stephens, 37, (right) is wanted on a charge of aggravated murder in the death of Robert Godwin Sr. on Sunday afternoon in Cleveland.
In a statement early Monday, police warned residents of Pennsylvania, New York, Indiana and Michigan to be on the lookout for Stephens, who they say should be considered armed and dangerous.
On its Facebook page, the Cleveland Division of Police describe Stephens as 6’1′ tall/244 lbs., bald with a full beard and wearing a dark blue and grey or black striped polo shirt.
He is believed to be driving a white 2016 Ford Fusion with temporary Ohio tags of E363630. The Ohio Department of Transportation displayed a description of the vehicle on its message boards in the Cleveland area (pictured, above).
“We ask that the public remain aware and report any suspicious activity to police immediately,” the police said. “If seen call 9-1-1. Do not approach.”
In a separate video posted on Facebook, Stephens claimed to have killed more than a dozen other people. Police say they have not verified any other shootings or deaths.
