Prosecutor: Man who fired gun at Trump rally ‘undercharged’

COLUMBUS (AP) — A lawyer for a Licking County man says his client feared for his life when he fired a handgun at a semitrailer that he says hit his vehicle and taunted the “rolling rally” supporting President Donald Trump the defendant was taking part in.

The Columbus Dispatch reports a judge set bond for 58-year-old Todd Crawford of Homer at $250,000 on Tuesday.

Assistant Prosecutor Megan Davis argued for a high bond in part because she said Crawford was “severely undercharged” for firing a gun out of a vehicle.

No one was injured in the shooting.

Crawford’s attorney Jon Saia says Crawford has posted bond.

He is charged with discharge of a firearm over a highway.
