Quarterback quandary

COLUMBUS – Tested by the multiple-choice question that is Ohio State’s quarterback situation, head coach Urban Meyer sounds like someone faced with the choice of “none of the above.”

The No.1-ranked Buckeyes (3-0) host Western Michigan (1-2) Saturday (3:30 p.m./ABC)

After a 20-13 win over Northern Illinois last week, during which quarterbacks Cardale Jones and J.T. Barrett combined for 136 passing yards, throwing one touchdown pass and three interceptions.

In light of that, what once looked like an embarrassment of riches at the position now looks like just an embarrassment.

“Not one has beaten out the other and they’re not playing great,” Meyer told reporters Monday.

He would not say who would start at quarterback against the Broncos.
