Race raises $1M+ for hospital

COLUMBUS – Sarah Biehl of Hilliard and defending champion Kristoffer Mugrage of Colorado won the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon Sunday.

Molly Bookmyer, of Columbus, won the women’s ½ Marathon for the second year in a row and James Ngandu, of Van Wert, won the men‘s division.

A field of more than 11,000 participants from across the United States and elsewhere around the world participated in the 16th edition of the race.

Organizers estimate at least $1 million was raised for Nationwide Children’s Hospital during the 2022 event for a total of approximately $12 million raised since the partnership with the hospital started in 2012.
