COLUMBUS – The RailRiders scored the tying and winnings runs off reliever C.C. Lee in the seventh inning to hand the Clippers a 4-3 loss in the final game of a three-game series in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Sunday.
Lee (2-3) recorded his second blown save opportunity of the season. Joel De La Cruz (7-0) got the win in relief for the RailRiders.
The Clippers took the lead in the fifth on back-to-back RBI singles of De La Cruz by Justin Toole and Jose Ramirez.
Scranton came back in the seventh on a Ben Gamel triple and a sacrifice fly off the bat of Jose Pirela to take the lead.
The Clippers return to Huntington Park Tuesday to begin a six-game home stand with the RailRiders and Lehigh Valley.
