COLUMBUS, Ohio – Fire investigators are trying to figure out who torched more than a half-dozen cars on the Northwest Side overnight, causing damage to two homes in the process.
A series of eight vehicle fires were reported within a span of about two hours in a neighborhood west of Sawmill Road and near Tuller Parkway and Cranston Drive, Battalion Chief Tracy Smith said.
Smith said two homes were also damaged by flames.
The fires were ruled suspicious and investigators were interviewing witnesses early Thursday morning but had not identified any suspects, Smith said.
According to records, a house fire and a vehicle fire were reported on Saybrook Court at 1:52 a.m.

A second structure fire was reported on Aleshire Drive.

No injuries were reported.
