COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Clippers fell to the Pawtucket Red Sox 5-3 in 10 innings at Huntington Park Tuesday night.
Andres Torres and Travis Shaw hit back-to-back homers to down the Clippers in extras.
Bryan Price (0-1) took the loss allowing the 10th inning rally. Drake Britton (2-3) picked up the win by pitching a perfect ninth for Pawtucket.
The Sox tied the Clippers in the sixth on an RBI single by Alex Hassan.
Torres’s two run bomb off the scoreboard in right scored Jonathan Herrera, who had hit a one-out single. Shaw’s solo shot to left later in the extra frame was his seventh.
Columbus looks to split the series Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.
