Red Wings 12, Clippers 3

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Rochester Red Wings beat the Clippers 12-3 on Wednesday to win the three-game series between the two teams.

Daniel Palka again provided a lot of the Red Wings’ punch, homering and banging out three hits, driving in two runs.

Rochester scored in six different innings, including the fifth, when Matt Hague hit a three-run double and then scored on a single by Niko Goodrum.

Alex Wimmers (4-3) got the win with 2 2/3 innings of scoreless, one-hit relief while Columbus starter Shawn Morimando (10-8) took the loss.

The Clippers move on to Pawtucket for four games starting Thursday night.
