COLUMBUS – Giving away free tickets for Game 5 of the Governor’s Cup semifinal series worked so well for the Clippers that they will continue to let fans in through the gates for free when Indianapolis comes to Huntington Park Tuesday and Wednesday for the first two games of the best-of-five final series.
Making his AAA debut, Mike Clevinger handcuffed the Norfolk Tides, pitching 7 2/3 innings of no-hit ball striking out 10 hitters, to lead Columbus to a 5-0 win in front of 10,734 fans at Huntington Park Monday night.
Clippers management is once again pulling out all the stops for the two playoff games, with free admission for Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s games, $10 suite tickets, and Dime-A-Dog promotions.
