COLUMBUS – Ohio Stadium is expected to be at full capacity when the 2021 college football season begins this fall.
Although no official announcement has been made, Buckeye Athletic Director Gene Smith assured WBNS 10-TV Tuesday that the stadium would be open.
“We’re going all the way live, I mean, we’re tailgating, we don’t see any change to what we had prior to COVID,” Smith told 10-TV’s Dom Tiberi in an exclusive interview.
The ‘Shoe will be at 100 percent capacity for the first time since November 2019.
Attendance during the shortened 2020 season was severely limited due to health restrictions amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Oregon Ducks come to town on Sept. 11.
