COLUMBUS, Ohio – Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for any information that will lead authorities to whoever poisoned dozens of ducks and geese at a Northwest Side apartment complex in January.
State wildlife officials responding to calls from concerned residents at the Island Club Apartments, 2225 Montego Boulevard, found approximately 50 birds in and around a pond, sickened or dead after eating cracked corn mixed with poison, a Crime Stoppers official said.
Whoever poisoned the birds has violated state and federal laws, as well as the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
