COLUMBUS – Authorities are offering a reward for information concerning the whereabouts of a transgender woman who has been missing for over a year and may be the victim of foul play.
Devin Cooper, who also goes by Sacoya, was last seen leaving her North Side home to go to the corner store on August 31, 2021, and never returned home, according to the FBI.
Investigators found her black 2009 Ford Fusion, on the west side, more than a month after the then 33-year-old was reported missing to police on Sept. 1.
Detectives from the Columbus Division of Police Missing Person’s Unit believe she is the victim of foul play, authorities said.
Sacoya Cooper is described as 5’5”/145 lbs. and was last seen wearing black lemonade braids, a black and white summer dress, and black and white Baby Phat sandals.
In partnership with Columbus police and the FBI, Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to Cooper’s location. Anyone with information is asked to call the Central Ohio Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 614-461-8477(TIPS).
