Over 4 inches of rain fell in parts of western and west central Ohio and runoff from the earlier rain will cause flooding.

High water shut down U.S. Route 36 between State Route 4 and the Union/Champaign county line and State Route 245 between Middleburg Plain City Road and West Darby Road in Union County.

The roads remained closed overnight and U.S. Route 36 is expected to reopen Saturday afternoon. Crews will re-assess State Route 245 Saturday, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

State Route 752 was also closed between U.S. Route 23 and the village of Ashville in Pickaway County.
