The Buckeyes (11-0, 8-0) are ranked No. 1 in the College Football Playoff and No. 2 in The Associated Press poll and are about a double-digit favorite to set a school record with an eighth straight win against the Wolverines.

They have won seven and 14 of 15 against No. 13 Michigan (9-2, 6-2) in a dominant stretch that has taken a lot of suspense out of college sports’ most storied rivalry.

Win or lose in Ann Arbor, Ohio State will for the Big Ten championship in Indianapolis Dec. 7 against the winner of another big rivalry game.

No. 8 Minnesota (10-1, 7-1) lost 14 straight to No. 12 Wisconsin (9-2, 6-2) before taking back the Paul Bunyan Axe last year.

The Gophers haven’t won consecutive games in the series since 1993-94 but have a chance to break that streak and punch their ticket to Indy on Saturday.
