ST. PAUL, Minn. – Matt Wallner scored the winning run on a double by Jermaine Palacios in the eighth to cap a rally that gave the St. Paul Saints a 6-5 win over the Clippers Saturday at CHS Field.
Wallner’s two-run home run gave the Saints a 3-0 lead in the first inning but Columbus battled back, taking a 5-3 lead in the when Gabriel Arias scored on a fielder’s choice in the fifth.
John Andreoli tied the score in the seventh with a two-run homer.
Anthony Castro (0-1) gave up the winning run and took the loss.
