School bus driver killed at his West Side home

COLUMBUS – Three men are behind bars in connection with a plot that left a Columbus City Schools bus driver dead outside his West Side home.

Abraham Shears, 52, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder for arranging the death of John Clinedinst. (Franklin Co. Sheriff’s Ofc.)

Abraham Shears has been charged with getting Tarayle Glick and Donte Slash to murder John Clinedinst, who was found stabbed to death on the front porch of his Prairie Township home Tuesday morning, Franklin County Sheriff Dallas Baldwin said.

Clinedinst was discovered on the front porch of his Darbyhurst Road home at approximately 11:17 a.m., by his roommate, who call 911. Baldwin says Clinedinst, 54, had been stabbed numerous times, apparently as he was leaving for work earlier that morning.

Detectives 19-year-old Tarayle Glick (above, left), and 23-year-old Donte Slash (right) for murder and also arrested Abraham Shears, 52, and charged him with conspiracy to commit murder, Baldwin said.

Investigators said Shears had been involved in a dispute with Clinedinst and arranged for Glick and Slash to kill the man.

Baldwin says the case remains under investigation.
