Teachers and staff were asked to report to work and that grief counselors were scheduled to be on hand at the public school for special needs and emotionally disturbed students, district spokesman Scott Varner said.

Adan Abdullahi (right), 18, was arrested after police say he fired three shots inside the school Friday. Police say a staff member intervened and calmed Abdullahi until officers arrived.

Abdullahi has been charged with improperly discharging a firearm in a school safety zone. He appeared in Franklin County Municipal Court on Saturday where a judge set a $950,000 bond and assigned a public defender to represent him.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
