COLUMBUS – Police are looking for a Northeast Side man in connection with the murder of another man who was found injured in an apartment complex parking lot last month.
Homicide Unit detectives filed a murder charge against John Davis III (above) Wednesday in the March 30 death of John Dawson.
The whereabouts of Davis, 48, whose previous address was on Maple Canyon Drive, a few blocks from the scene of the crime, are unknown, police said.
Officers found Dawson, 53, unconscious and suffering from a head injury, the result of a blow to the head, in the parking lot at 2264 Webster Canyon Court shortly after 9:30 p.m. on March 27, investigators said.
He was taken to a hospital and died three days later.
