COLUMBUS – A second suspect has been arrested in the 2017 slaying of a man outside a South Side bar.
Camron Garnes was charged and arrested Tuesday for the murder of Gary Copling at the Dawghouse Pizza and Bar, 2031 Lockbourne Road on Dec. 20, 2017, Sgt. Terry McConnell of the Homicide Cold Case Unit said.
Copling, 41, was found near Studer and Reeb roads, approximately a half block northwest of the scene and was taken to Grant Medical Center, where he died.
Brian Reed, 49, was arrested and charged with murder in November 2018, police said.
The death of Copling was the 135th homicide of a year that eventually saw a record 143 murders in Columbus.
