COLUMBUS – A second suspect has been arrested in the death of a man shot down in a Northeast Side parking lot last month.
Abukar Khamis was arrested without incident Sunday at a home in the 4300 Belcher Court by Columbus SWAT officers, Homicide Unit Sgt. David Shimberg said.
Khamis, 19, was taken to the Franklin County Jail where he was being held on a murder charge in connection with the death of Muhsin Yusuf, who was found lying in the parking lot of in the Northtowne Apartments and Townhomes complex on Nov. 22, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Mahdi Mohamed, 24, was also charged with murder in the case and turned himself in to Columbus police on Nov. 24, Shimberg said.
The initial investigation indicated the incident stemmed from a fight that originated on the previous day and carried over, resulting in the shooting.
