Second victim found in Buckeye Lake

BUCKEYE LAKE, Ohio (AP) – Authorities have found the body of a second Columbus boater presumed drowned in Buckeye Lake after a fishing boat capsized.

A spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources says searchers found Jason Lewis, 61, on Monday, near where the 16-foot aluminum boat capsized Friday.

The body of Gary Cook, 62, was recovered Friday.

Officials said the water was only a few feet deep when the boat capsized near Millersport, but the lake was cold — about 43 degrees.

The spokeswoman says neither boater was wearing a life jacket.
