COLUMBUS – Police say a North Side man they describe as a “serial groper,” who recently served jail time for sex crimes, was back at it again.

Lonnie Sturdivant, 60 (right), was issued a summons after two women in their 20’s reported being groped by him at a bar in the area of Frambes Avenue and High Street in the OSU campus area Thursday night, according to Sgt. Dennis Fox of the Columbus Police Sexual Assault Unit.
One woman is an Ohio State University student, according to a neighborhood safety alert issued by the OSU police.
Sturdivant was cited for two misdemeanor counts of sexual imposition, Fox said.
Meanwhile, Columbus poluce posted on their Facebook page that Capital University police had issued an active warrant for Sturdivant for sexual imposition and aggravated trespassing.
Detectives say Sturdivant was recently released from jail after serving just under a year for similar conduct and has been convicted of numerous sexual related offenses.
Sturdivant has a history of groping women in a variety of public places and is currently banned from the OSU campus, OSU police said. They ask anyone who sees him on campus to call university police at 614-292-2121.
