COLUMBUS, Ohio – Authorities in Delaware County are looking for the man they say committed a sexual assault at Highbanks Metro Park Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, the man assaulted a male victim around 4:30 p.m. and investigators are asking the public for help identify the suspect.
The victim described him as having salt-and-pepper hair and a goatee with graying hair. He spoke with a slight accent and appeared to be of Indian descent. He was wearing a white t-shirt with black vertical stripes and black running shorts when the incident happened, according to Sheriff Russell Martin.
The man is described as middle-aged, 5’11”/170 lbs.
Martin says the suspect appears to be very familiar with the park and its various hiking trails.
Martin says anyone who recognizes the individual or may have seen him at the park is asked to call the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office at740-833-2800.
