COLUMBUS – Police have no suspects or motive in a shooting that left a man dead outside a Franklinton home early Friday.

Officers called to 442 S. Yale Avenue at 12:10 a.m. on a report of a shooting found Tabyus Chappell unresponsive and lying outside the front of the residence suffering from a gunshot wound, Homicide Unit supervisor Sgt. Jeff Strayer said.
Chappell, 29, was taken by Columbus paramedics to Mt. Carmel West Hospital, where he died at 12:40 a.m., Strayer said.
The investigation continues.
This is the 63rd homicide in Columbus this year.
