COLUMBUS – Police are looking for suspects in a shooting on the Northeast Side Monday night that left one man dead.
Detectives say witnesses reported overhearing several people arguing just before gunshots were heard outside a building in the Northland Arms Apartments complex in the 4600 block of Tamarack Boulevard at approximately 10:33 p.m., said Sgt. J.R. Strayer of the Homicide Unit.
Officers investigating the report of a shooting found Sanjay Karki, 32, lying on the building steps, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, Strayer said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation continues.
This is the 50th homicide in Columbus in 2019.
