COLUMBUS – Columbus police are investigating a deadly shooting on the Southeast Side.
Officers were called to the 1100 block of Lockbourne Road on a report of a shooting at 4:25 p.m. Monday found Maurice Anderson suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, said Sgt. James Marable of the Homicide Unit.
Anderson, 23, was taken to Grant Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 4:49 p.m., the 149th homicide victim of 2020 in Columbus.
What precipitated the incident is still under investigation, Marable said.
