COLUMBUS – No one was injured when shots rang out at Easton Town Center Wednesday.
Officers working special duty at the mall say an unknown male suspect shot at Jarred Goodson, 22, and Sanaya Johnson, 19, at approximately on The Strand at approximately 5:00 p.m. but missed them, though bullets hit a building and several shell casings were found at the scene, detectives with the Felony Assault Squad said.
The victims told police the suspect drove away in a silver vehicle.
The incident is still under investigation.
A 16-year-old was reported to be in stable condition after being shot during a fight at a Northeast Side apartment complex, police said.
Officers responding to a reported shooting in the 5800 block of Cleveland Avenue at approximately 4:15 p.m. were redirected to the 5700 block of Arborwood Court where they were told the victim had gone in a vehicle after the shooting and found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body, detectives said.
The juvenile was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
It was later learned that the youth had been in a physical altercation with an unknown individua who brandished a firearm and shot the victim.
The victim was uncooperative with investigators.
