COLUMBUS – Two people were shot to death and four others injured in separate shooting incidents in the last 24 hours in Columbus, bringing the total number of homicides in the city in 2020 to 104.

Police are looking for a 23-year-old man in connection with the city’s latest murder, the death of a man gunned down during a shootout on a Merion Village street corner early Wednesday.
Robert Bowens Jr., of Columbus, has been charged with murder after police say he shot Charles Knapper, 21, during an exchange of gunfire in the area of E. Moler Street and City Park Avenue just before 2:00 a.m., Sgt. David Shimberg of the Homicide Unit said.
Officers found 57-year-old David Arthur Olson lying in an alley behind 712 S. Weyant Avenue suffering from a gunshot wound at 12:23 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
Columbus Division of Fire paramedics took the man to the Grant Medical Center emergency room where lifesaving measures were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at 12:52 p.m.

A 44-year-old man was listed in stable condition at OSU East Medical Center after being shot in the leg during an argument on the East Side. Antwon McMutary was shot just before 8:30 p.m. in the 3300 blocl of E. 7th Avenue by a known suspect who had not been identified early Wednesday, Det. Robert Shepherd of the Felony Assault Unit said.
At 11:44 p.m. officers responded to Grant Hospital, where a shooting victim was is in stable condition. Detectives are investigating the details of the shooting.
Two people were shot just before 2:00 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of E. Main Street and S. Lazelle Street. Both are in stable condition.
