Social media feud leads to shooting

COLUMBUS – Police say an argument on social media led to an exchange of gunfire on a Franklinton street early Saturday.

Detectives say Lisa Blazer was arguing over social media with another woman and challenged the woman to a fight at Blazer’s Brehl Avenue home just after 2:00 a.m.

Two carloads of people pulled up outside the home where Blazer, 50, was waiting on the porch.

Police say a passenger from the second vehicle emerged from the sun roof and began firing at the house, striking Blazer in the abdomen.

Another resident of the home grabbed a rifle from inside the house and returned fire.

There were no other injuries reported.

A teenager was wounded in a drive-by shooting on the Southeast Side Saturday night, police said.

The 17-year-old boy was traveling in a motor vehicle in the area of Gender and Refugee Road just before 8:00 p.m. when he was struck by gunfire, according to detectives.

The victim was taken to a location on Chatterton Road location where police were called.

The teen was in stable condition in an area hospital.
