Sounds 10, Clippers 5

NASHVILLE – The Nashville Sounds jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first inning on the way to a 10-5 win over the Clippers at First Horizon Park Friday.

Luke Maile and Daniel Robertson each drove in two runs and scored as the Sounds banged out five hits off pitchers Brad Peacock (0-2) and Robert Broom before Travis Shaw struck out to end the inning.

The Clippers rallied for five runs in the third on homers by Gabriel Arias and Wilson Ramos.

Alec Bettinger (2-3) bounced back from the rocky inning to get the win.
