Sounds 4, Clippers 3

NASHVILLE – Matt Lipka led off the seventh inning with an inside-the-park home run, kick-starting a three-run rally that sent the Nashville Sounds to a 4-3 win over the Clippers Tuesday in the opening game of a six-game series at First Horizon Park.

Kyle Dowdy took over for Scott Moss (0-4) and promptly walked in two runs as Nashville rallied from a 2-0 deficit to take a 4-2 lead.

Gabriel Arias hit two homers for Columbus.

Blaine Hardy (4-5) got the win in relief for the Sounds and Luke Barker picked up his fifth save of the season.
