COLUMBUS – Abraham Almonte hit a two-run home run and drove in four runs to lead the Nashville Sounds to a 5-3 win over the Clippers Friday night at Huntington Park.
Starter Josh Lindblom (3-4) and reliever Marcus Walden combined for seven strikeouts for Nashville.
Gabriel Arias went 2 for 4 and scored a run for Columbus.
Peyton Battenfield (5-5) took the loss after giving up three runs on only two hits, both of them home runs by Almonte and Jon Singleton.
