South Side fire out; cause still unkown

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A spark from an overheated forklift reportedly may have started a four-alarm fire on the South Side Friday, which sent a plume of black smoke into the skies above central Ohio for hours during the afternoon rush hour.

An official cause of the fire has not been determined, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

Firefighters say they extinguished the flames that engulfed Phoenix Recycling on Marion Road, according to 10-TV.

No injuries were reported in the fire.
