COLUMBUS, Ohio – Homicide investigators are calling the deaths of a South Side couple a murder-suicide.
Officers called to 3086 Lewis Road shortly after 1:00 Tuesday afternoon to check on the well-being of Kathy Shonkwiler and Troy Stone found both of them dead inside the home, police said, though the Columbus Dispatch reported that police did not immediately say how they died.
Detectives say Shonkwiler’s adult son had not heard from her and had gone to her home to check on her. He called police when he no one answered the door
