SR 750 closure starts Monday

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Starting Monday, motorists in northern Franklin and southern Delaware counties will have to negotiate the two-month closure of lanes on a key east-west artery as part of a long-term project to improve the State route 315/750 interchange.

Beginning at 5:00 a.m., the Ohio Department of Transportation is shutting down the western leg of State route 750 (Powell Road) between State route 315 and Valley Run Drive for 60 days to build left turn lanes on route 750.

A utility company needs 15 days to relocate some lines before the contractor can start working on the roadway, according to an ODOT spokeswoman.

The posted detours are:

SR 257 to US 42 to US 23 to SR 315 or Sawmill Parkway to I-270 to SR 315

SR 750 is required to be open before Memorial Day weekend and the Memorial Tournament.

Left turn lanes were added last year in both directions of State route 315 at Powell Road.
