COLUMBUS, Ohio – Everyone will be a little bit Irish on Monday, but the celebration of the St. Patrick’s Day holiday begins in Columbus on Friday and lasts all weekend.
The annual Shamrock Club Proclamation Day ceremony takes place Friday morning at City Hall. The Franklin County Commissioners and oth4er elected officials will present ceremonial resolutions honoring the contributions by the local Irish-American community and shamrocks will be painted at the corner of Broad and High Streets at noon.
Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day parade starts at 11:00 Saturday morning at Metro Place and marches north on Frantz Road, east on Bridge Street, south on High Street and ending at Waterford Drive before returning west on Waterford to Monterey Drive and back to Frantz Road.
The Columbus parade steps off from W. Nationwide Boulevard and John H. McConnell Boulevard at 11:30 a.m. Monday. The route takes marchers east on Nationwide to N. High Street, south on High Street to Broad Street and west to Veterans Memorial.
